Carrying is an exhibition project that explores the histories embedded in locations around the Museum Brandhorst. International artists like Hêlîn Alas, Cana Bilir-Meier, and Jaune Quick-to-See Smith are activating spaces both inside and outside the museum, including historically significant sites like the Türkentor. Through architectural interventions, performances, paintings, sound, and film, the exhibition engages with the museum's architecture and examines the entanglement of military and cultural power. The project's starting point is the former location of the Prinz-Arnulf-Kaserne, also known as the Turks’ Barracks.
