Filmfest München: A PLACE CALLED HOME

World premiere: An epic and opulent family portrait. In late 19th-century Germany, Dora is determined to have her daughter Lisette marry a baron so that the family can join the aristocracy. Lisette instead dreams of becoming a fashion designer so that she can make clothing that women will find liberating. Yet history repeats itself: Lisette, too, becomes a mother — and, afraid of losing her own daughter, commits a grave error.
