What you can do with Venued
Everything Studio can do for your business, in one list. Plus what it does not do.
Who Studio is for
Studio is where you run your business on Venued, at studio.venued.eu. There are three kinds of business account:
- Event organiser: you host events, sell tickets or take RSVPs.
- Venue: you have a space that organisers can book.
- Professional: you offer a service, like DJing, catering or photography.
Every kind can also run its own events. This page lists mostly event features. For the rest, see Venues and Professionals.
Events

Tickets

At the door

Money
Ticket money goes into your own Stripe account. Stripe is the payment company Venued works with. It pays the money out to your bank.

Getting found

Common questions
Can I check people in at the door?
Yes. Every ticket has a code. Scan it with the Venued app on a phone, which keeps working without signal. You can also open the scanner in Studio on a laptop, but that needs an internet connection. A ticket lets one person in once. A second scan shows "Already scanned".
Can I sell tickets on my own website?
Yes. Studio has a Web shop that puts your events and checkout on your own website. Buyers pay without leaving your site. Whoever looks after your website adds it once.
Does Venued take a fee from ticket sales?
Not for your first 6 months. After that, the Venued fee is 1% + €0.49 per ticket. Stripe, the payment company, charges its own fee. For each ticket type you choose who pays the Stripe fee: you or the buyer.
How do I get paid?
Ticket money goes into your own Stripe account. Stripe pays it out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. The Money page in Studio shows your balance and your payouts.
Can I keep my current ticket shop?
Yes. Choose External ticketing and Venued sends buyers to your ticket website. You still get the Venued event page. You can also take free RSVPs, or use no tickets at all.
Do I need a card reader at the door?
No. With Tap to Pay, the buyer taps their card or phone against your Android phone. This needs an Android phone with NFC. It is not available on iPhone yet.
Can my team help, with different access?
Yes. Invite people by email and tick what each person may do: Manager, Editor, Finance, Marketing, Door staff or Viewer. Someone can have more than one. Door staff can only scan tickets.
What does the Assistant do?
It helps you plan. Describe your event in a sentence or upload a poster. It suggests the details, venues and professionals. It only makes a draft when you say yes, and you publish it yourself.
Which countries does Venued work in?
Venued is built for businesses in Germany. Payouts go through a German Stripe account, and invoices and VAT follow German rules.
Can I use my own web address instead of venued.eu?
No. Your pages use your colours, logo and cover image, but they stay on venued.eu. To sell on your own website, use the Web shop.
